Professional Audio Services provides studio recording, editing and mixing services for the music and film/video industry. We specialize in performing overdubs for live recordings, recording original music for film and video projects, and sound design work for film and video.
Our studio features a Mackie 24-8 console with a Tascam MX-2424 hard disk recorder, which provides excellent sound quality and is very intuitive. This system supports 24 tracks of digital recording and full sync to video (timecode, blackburst, wordclock).
Computer based recording and editing is also available. Software packages include Sonar, Waves plugins, Native Instruments plugins, Vegas Video, DVD Architect, Sound Forge, and others. All computer equipment is enterprise class with uninterruptable power supplies, redundant disk arrays and a reliable offsite backup system. We are fully equipped for Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 surround sound. Broadband internet access and wireless internet is available. We are currently transitioning our studio to better support HD video by adding new HD LCD monitors, a fiber channel disk array and more.
We accept format transfer projects from all over the United States. We can transfer to/from the following formats:CD, cassette, microcassette, DVD, DVCAM, DV, MiniDV, MiniDisc, DAT, ADAT, 33/45/78 records, 3/4" U-matic, S-VHS, VHS, reel to reel tape.
We can convert sessions from/to Pro Tools, Nuendo, Sonar, Cakewalk, Acid, Logic, Vegas Video, Final Cut, Tascam BU files, and more. They can be transfered via hard drive or over the web via FTP.
We are fully set up for quick turn around CD and DVD duplication in house. We have ties with a local printer for high volume disc printing and liner notes.
